Qigong

Is an ancient Chinese healing practice that combines and coordinates physical movements and breathing with a calm, meditative state of mind.  It is used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and martial-arts training and as a method of cultivating and balancing “Qi” or “life energy”.

All Qigong classes will be available "In Person" or via "Zoom broadcast"

Ba Duan Jin

Ba Duan Jin (aka Eight Pieces of Brocade) is an easy to learn set of eight Qigong exercises that are used to improve the body’s health and its energy. It can be conveniently practiced in a small amount of space in about 15 minutes or less.

Its origin dates back to at least the Song Dynasty (960-1279) based upon written records, and likely back to the Han Dynasty (202 BC – 9 AD) based upon visual evidence contained in ancient DaoYin Tu paintings.

Yi Jin Jing

Yi Jin Jing consists of a set of 12 of the most challenging Qigong exercises. It emphasizes a full range of stretching, turning, and flexing of the tendons, along with the surrounding sinews, bones, joints, ligaments, and muscles.   These movements combine softness with strength by stretching and holding the body in specific positions for extended periods of time, while simultaneously using the mind to relax any tension that arises.
